An Update on the University Finances

Following from the Vice-Chancellor’s email on 26 September, we are continuing to listen to member views and are formulating a branch position at branch and section meetings. Please attend these meetings and encourage your colleagues to do so.

Next week the branch committee will have two meetings with the University Management. At 2pm on Wednesday we will have a Joint Negotiating Committee with HR over Workload. At 3pm we will be meeting alongside the other campus unions (UNITE and UNISON) with the Director of Finance about the emergency measures.

The experience from other branches is that collective campaigning can make a difference.
