Workload campaign: toxic culture of overwork
UCUs concerns about workload have been ongoing, and exacerbated by the programme of cost reduction, and workforce resizing, and now by additional ‘efficiency’ programmes such as Leading Edge Curriculum (LEC), Academic Advising, University Calendar reforms, and reorganisations, along with unfilled vacancies and more.
As you know, UCU is consistently pushing back on this, and we are organising training on various policies (e.g. Reorganisation and Accompaniment) as well as on Health & Safety, and Self Risk Assessments; we will add documents and reports we develop in relation to this here.
